His sculptures highlight the timeless beauty of the dancers and fashion of that period. Demetre H. Chiparus was born in Romania, in 1909 he went to Italy. He studied sculpture at the Raffaello Romanelli. In 1912 D.Chiparus emigrated to Paris where he attended classes at the Paris Academy of Fine Arts, and later lived and worked. The first series of sculptures made Chiparus, were a series of children and were shown at the Salon of 1914. The mature style wizard completes, beginning in the 1920s. His sculptures have bright stylish decorative effect.Dancers of the Russian Ballet, French theater, and early films were among his protagonists.
